Who are we looking for?
To become a Diligence M&A specialist, you must be an entrepreneur, at least 40 years of age, with insight into the commercial and financial sectors. In addition, you have an understanding of human behaviour, and are capable of listening to your clients to determine what really motivates them. Furthermore, you have had at least one year of experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, and, owing to your high level of education and/or experience, you have an academic perspective. You reside in the area in which you work, where you play an active social role, with excellent contacts in a broad-based regional relations network. You have been financially independent for at least one year. It also goes without saying that you have a healthy ambition and are highly motivated to achieve; literally and metaphorically, you are an ‘industrious’ type, and ready for a new challenge in your life. Moreover, you are keen to begin exploring this market, together with your partners and in a great working environment.
Independent but no alone
You are the new professional, and operate freely, meaning that you decide for yourself how much time you spend on the job. You develop your own client base and, as a result, your own success. You work independently, but not alone, because all your partners also create their own success, and − together with you − the joint success of the Diligence network. You start by attending several different training sessions. Once you are on the way, you will be supported by the head office of the organisation and by colleagues. Because you meet people’s needs, you will be a conversation partner much sought after by every entrepreneur, accountant, and M&A specialist. Your job will be unique.

Diligence congratulates Bas van Velzen on his acquisition of the BAZ beach pavilion in Zandvoort
In January 2018, the reputable and regionally well-known Bruxelles aan Zee beach pavilion was taken over by Bas van Velzen, a young entrepreneur from the city of Haarlem. After 12 years of developing this outstanding catering business, its former owners Jeroen Steenwinkel, Per van Leeuwen, and Noud van Laar decided to leave, and transferred their business to Bas van Velzen. Under van Velzen’s ownership, the pavilion will continue under the name BAZ.
