Over the past few years, Gerda was involved in several business acquisitions, and now mainly focuses on supervising transactions and intermediary services in this field.
Born in the Dutch town of Rockanje, she lived and worked in Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel for over thirty years, before returning to her birthplace, the islands of the Dutch province of South Holland. After having acquired Bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry, commercial economy, and business economics, she obtained her Master’s degree in business valuation at TiasNimbas Business School in 2008. Since 2009, she has been a registered valuer and a member of the Nederlands Instituut voor Register Valuators – the professional association of Registered Business Valuers in the Netherlands.
Commencing her career as a biochemical analyst, she worked in both industry and in medical research for ten years. In 1991 she set up as an independent accounting consultant and gained a great deal of experience in assisting entrepreneurs in many fields. In 2005, she changed course and started dga-assist®, a coaching agency for integrated support for entrepreneurs, focused on business valuations. Gerda has an analytical – ‘what is the actual problem?’ – and a problem-solving approach and enjoys assisting her clients: their success makes her happy.
