Harry Helwegen

After graduating from the IVA Business School in Driebergen, Harry began a long career at BP. There, he worked in various roles, ranging from sales and marketing to market development. He later specialized in the acquisition of new locations for filling stations and negotiations regarding the purchase and sale of petrol stations in the Benelux. In this position, he gained extensive experience with acquisitions.

Shortly after the founding of Diligence in 1998, Harry joined as a partner. Since then, he has guided a large number of acquisitions for his clients in various sectors, both nationally and internationally. He is one of the co-founders of the BOBB (Professional Organization for Business Transfer Specialists), where he served as a board member for several years. In 2016, Harry was honored by the acquisition platform Brookz with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the field.

Harry is also the Managing Director of Diligence Services B.V., the central organization of Diligence. He is truly in his element as a dealmaker. Over the years, he has successfully prevented and resolved pitfalls and obstacles in the acquisition process for his clients.
